Jeremiah 29:11

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11)

About me

Introduction-

Hello! I am a homeschooled Christian photographer, crafter, knitter, blogger, baker, musician, and Science Olympian who likes cooking, reading, and making stuff in general. In short, a person with many interests. I use this blog to work on my writing skills (HA!) and to bring glory to God, through whom I know is the only reason I am able to say I have so many different interests.

What I strive for-

My favorite Bible verse is the tagline of my blog- “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lordplans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11). I’m learning to trust that God knows His plans for my life, and to trust that He knows what He’s doing, instead of random mess all over my life. I’m striving to bring glory to God through my actions, and my words, as shown by the song “To God be the Glory” by Fanny Crosby-
To God be the glory, great things He has done;
So loved He the world that He gave us His Son,
Who yielded His life an atonement for sin,
And opened the life gate that all may go in.
O perfect redemption, the purchase of blood,
To every believer the promise of God;
The vilest offender who truly believes,
That moment from Jesus a pardon receives.
Great things He has taught us, great things He has done,
And great our rejoicing through Jesus the Son;
But purer, and higher, and greater will be
Our wonder, our transport, when Jesus we see.

Where did THAT name come from?

I chose my name when I was doing Science Olympiad, which is a competition that includes events that spans across almost all fields of science- Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Earth Science, etc, etc. The competitors compete at a regional level, then perhaps at a state level, and then one team from each state (generally, the larger states get to send two teams) competes at the national level. My favorite event that I did was Rocks and Minerals, and I started a website (the original platform for Happy Little Thoughts) in order to allow people to learn about Rocks and Minerals as well. However, in the process of creating the website, I made a small typo. Instead of RocksandMinerals4Him, as originally planned, I became Rockand Minerals4Him. I now have built quite a good sized internet identity around the name. If you Google “Rockand Minerals4Him”, you can get quite a large amount of stuff about me. :P
